bush and farming scenes along the track.Your adventure begins in Awakeri, travelling at a leisurely 20 km/hr along a piece of historic railway line.
The express run
The Express Run travels over 19km of track, with one stop enroute, and will take approx. two hours.
Bush Walk & Picnic Run
Travel over the same 19km of track and take a guided bush walk.- see how Awakeri Rail and the Department of Conservation are working together to eradicate pests in the beautiful white pine scenic bush reserve. Take in the grandeur of 600 year old Kahikatea
trees - then enjoy a relaxing track side picnic.This adventure wraps up in about three hours.
