We also provide a shuttle service on the trails and have the latest model bikes and electric bikes available for hire.

The Queenstown Trails are set in the heart of the Wakatipu Basin one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand renowned for it's spectacular scenery. With over 120kms of off-road mountain biking you can explore lake vistas, river gorges, historic Arrowtown, the wine area of Gibbston Valley and countless mountain ranges. QUEENSTOWN TRAILS FULL DAY SUPPORTED TOUR
This full day supported biking adventure lets you really experience the stunning surround of the Queenstown Trails and Wakatipu Basin and it’s magnificent scenery. Starting with a 9am pick up from your Queenstown accommodation we will deliver you to Queenstown Bay, here you are given thorough directions, a map and trail tips before setting off on your ride following the shore of Lake Wakatipu to the Frankton Marina, after a morning tea stop at the historic Boatshed Cafe we drive you to the heart of the Wakatipu Basin for more scenic riding. Pause for a picnic lunch in historic Arrowtown, then set off biking along the beautiful Arrow and Kawarau Rivers to the Historic Kawarau Suspension Bridge - home of the famous Kawarau Bungy. Finish with a short ride through to Gibbston Valley and enjoy a relaxing wine tasting and cheesery visit. Sit back and relax while we drive you back to your Queenstown accommodation.

This trip can be catered to any level of rider and is well supported along the way. Distances can be tailored to your needs with vehicle support at designated points along the trail allowing you to hitch a ride if required. Approximate biking distance is 30kms - all off-road.

FULL DAY BIKE THE WINERIES TOUR
This Full Day Self-Guided Tour begins with pick up from your accommodation and a scenic transfer to the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown. Here you may choose to enjoy one of the many great cafes or just jump straight into your scenic ride along the beautiful Arrow River Trail till it meets the Kawarau River, ride the original Miners Trail that crosses the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, the home of bungy and the beginning of the Gibbston Valley.

From Bungy you set off to bike at your leisure the Gibbston River Trail using our informative trail map with exclusive offers to visit as many of the 8+ wineries linked throughout this 8kms of easy riding trail. Enjoy a relaxed lunch en-route or picnic at one of the many Wineries.

We will pick you up at 4.30pm (3.30pm 1 May - 30 Sept) from Gibbston Tavern (or another pre-arranged point in the valley) for your relaxing vehicle transfer back to Queenstown. Total biking distance is approximately 21kms.

ARROW RIVER TRAIL HALF DAY SUPPORTED TOUR
Your four hour supported adventure biking the Queenstown Trails begins at either 9am or 1pm with a scenic transfer from your Queenstown accommodation through to the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown to the start of the Arrow River trail. Here you will start your ride along the beautiful Arrow River gorge till it meets the confluence of the Kawarau River. You'll ride across 2 spectacular suspension bridges and then join the original miners trail that crosses the famous Kawarau suspension bridge, home of the original Kawarau Bungy. At the end of your bike ride you will be transferred to a Gibbston winery for a relaxing wine tasting and cheesery visit before being delivered back to Queenstown.

Thorough directions, a map and trail tips are given at the start of your adventure, along with driver and vehicle support at designated points throughout your ride on this 15km off-road trail.

Around The Basin operate year round. During the summer (late October to April) our shop is located at 9 Duke Street in The Station Building. Outside of these months we operate a mobile service and pick up and deliver from central Queenstown accommodation.
