Nash Point Lighthouse, situated on the Heritage Coastline of the Vale of Glamorgan, is the only working lighthouse open to visitors within 170 miles of South Wales. It is open most weekends, Bank Holidays and on Wednesdays during local school holidays from 12.00 – 5.30 pm with last entrance at 5.00 pm.
Visitors may have a guided tour or self-tour with a guide booklet and ascend the tower to the lantern, 180 ft above sea-level (120 ft above the base of the tower) where they can view the magnificent vista of approximately 100 miles of the English side of the Bristol Channel and 60 miles on the Welsh side. They can learn about the historic and modern role of Lighthouses and Lighthouse Keepers and enjoy an interesting and informative visit.
Nash Point is the only working lighthouse within the U.K. that holds a wedding license for the actual tower. When weddings are being held the Lighthouse is closed for visitors and therefore, please call to confirm that it will be open for visitors
