SpringTide’s Whale Watching tours will take you through some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery. Whale tours may go through Haro Strait, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Race Rocks Ecological Reserve or the San Juan Islands. Everywhere you turn, the photographic opportunities are spectacular. Keep your camera clicking as our on-board naturalist shares the ecology of the beautiful environment that surrounds you.
Whale tours are 3 hours long and you can choose which one of our purpose built boats suit you best. Our Luxury Covered Yacht, the Marauder IV features a wrap-around deck, heated cabin, and a spacious bathroom. Complimentary Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate are included. If speed is more your style, we also offer tours on one of our faster Zodiacs. These 12-passenger, twin-engine powered vessels are perfect for experiencing an exhilarating ride in the open air and sun.
A tip for you – it’s best to allow some extra time for your tour, because sometimes we stay a little longer to give you the best trip possible!
Catch a glimpse of a Dall's Porpoise, a Minke Whale or some majestic Killer Whales. If the conditions are right, you will have the opportunity to listen to their communication. Hydrophones onboard can pick up and amplify the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the Orcas as they converse with each other through a series of whistles and clicks.
