Barista is the award-winning iconic Palmerston North café at the forefront of the 1980’s emerging café culture, serving espresso and fine wines with top European cuisine and panache.

Located just off the Square in the George Street boutique arts district close to Library, Te Manawa and theatres and City Council this cafe/restaurant is reliably open 7 days a week till the theatres close their doors late at night.
Barista has a vibrant and eclectic mix of day and evening menus teamed with luscious sweet treats, or simple snacks, a full bar liquor licence or BYO wine, 27 fragrant leaf teas and top service.

On Saturday nights your hosts add a further reason to visit: Steven Sayer uses just a fine paint brush to develop his fascinating wall Mural, and Gail Shirley softly sings the best of cafe classic jazz vocals.
Another highlight is the 1950's "Music and Manners" High Tea held monthly, with fine china, linen and silverware, this event is very popular so pre-booking is advised.
