Tongariro Suites @ The Rocks offers boutique accommodation and is the only accommodation provider in the region that offers Mt Ruapehu views from each of our four suites. The property was purpose built in 2014 and offer tranquil accommodation for adults only.

The suites all have a private deck with outdoor furniture to enjoy the mountain views , the garden pond and landscaped gardens from. In side each suite is a full bathroom with free standing baths, separate showers and recycled rimu vanity unit.
All suites are spacious and feel like a home away from home. All have a high quality king size bed, lounge furniture, dining table and chairs, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. Continental breakfast supplies are provided in your room upon your arrival, so you can relax and have breakfast at whatever time suits you.

Although the location looks remote, it is only 10 minutes from Ohakune, our nearest village which has a good supermarket and range of dining options and take out food options. The location is ideal for exploring the Tongariro National Park. If you are walking the Tongariro Crossing we are only 30 minutes from the start of the crossing and can assist you with arranging the most suitable transport option for you.

We are also located on the Mountains to the Sea cycle trail, so why not stop for a night, enjoy the luxury before you venture out on the biggest cycle section of the trail the next day. We are also at the start of the Old Coach Road cycle and walking trail and can assist with bike hire and transfers.
