A wave of serenity washed over us as we descended into the lush, green sanctuary of the redwood forest<\/a>. Life was abundant everywhere we looked! Wild blueberries, blackberries, enormous ferns and bees…happily buzzing and performing their daily chores gave this campground a \u201cfairy tale\u201d like feeling.<\/p>\n

We arrived a day early and were given the option of several campsites that were available. After driving through the campground and assessing each site, we decided on site #30 for a couple of reasons. First, it was the very last campsite and closest to the Fern Trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly, it had a beautiful tree towards the back of the site which was covered in all purple leaves where we could setup our tent. Last, but certainly not least, this site is surrounded by wild blackberry bushes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The campground has multiple bathrooms available and they were always kept clean and full of toilet paper. Another bonus is the fact that there are showers available. During our trip, it was a bit chilly and there was a constant mist falling that would eventually chill you to the core if you allowed it. The warm showers at the end of our hike were a much appreciated perk!<\/span><\/p>\n
