The present Amet Haveli was built during the rule of Maharana Jagat Singh Ji - 2nd of Udaipur between 1734 - 1752 AD. He was the famous builder of Jag Niwas presently known as Lake Palace. There are twenty spacious and tastefully furnished bedrooms. The decor is in keeping with the old character of the building - Old Photographs, stained glass windows etc. Amost all the rooms have a magnificent view of the beautiful Lake Pichola and City Palace. Take a leisurely stroll amongst the flowers - laden trees, watch birds catching their prey from the lake and locals washing there clothes at the Ghat.

With the setting sun, a melodious harmony of chirruping birds wells up the atmosphere of the Restaurant. Resplendent Kingfisher preens on the path, and the flocks of migratory birds still frequent the lake, transporting you to a place that can only be paradise. Ambrai Restaurant seats guests overlooking the Lake Pichola, facing the beautiful and most impressive Haveli of the City of Lakes. The view of the finely carved City Palace and Taj Lake Palace is on the par with prepossessing lights of the same. A blend of style and flavours awaits you, from exotic fresh salads to Italian Espressos and Lal Maans (RED MEAT).

I would like to bring it to your notice that we also arrange special dinners over the magnificent Lake Pichola. The place has its own uniqueness as it was built at the time of The Taj Lake Palace was build by the same stone. This place is also known as The Garden Palace as it is in the private area of the owner so as to enjoy the royal dinning over looking the beautiful Lake Pichola and magnificent City Palace. To make it more romantic and delightful we decorate the place with flowers and candles, also to add on the glass work on the ceiling of the dinning space brings in another prepossessing touch when the candles are laid over.
