Lovely cafe with relaxed music and great coffee with chocolate flavour. Lots of young locals playing cards and board games here. Not yet spoiled by masses of tourists.

Main road 13 runs through Vikafjellet mountain pass with wonderful panoramas to Vik village and Sognefjord. Occasionally closed in winter.

There is a factory outlet at the Odermark textile plant, where you might wish to purchase some formal men's wear off the shelf at half price.

A bustling market with imported and local goods. One of the few places to buy fresh meat and produce, and with a bit of everything else. Prices on imported goods will not be significantly cheaper than...

Kotka's staple pizzeria/kebab house. Budget, no frills. Go for ''Kebab ranskalaisilla'' for gyros meat and fries.
