Butch opened his saloon in the spring of 1961. Family meant a great deal more than an ad campaign to Butch, and generations of people still come to celebrate and commiserate. He served cold beer along with food and friendship. When he passed away in 2006, his son Bobby took over the family business. From the first day Butch opened the doors, people have considered Butch's their "home away from home", and Bob wanted that to remain the same. He updated the menu and the beer selection but kept the welcoming atmosphere.

Butch's is known for it's extensive decorations for St Patrick's day and the Christmas season. It's a tradition going back decades. Tourists and locals alike find themselves here. During the day it's a great spot for a bite to eat and cold beer. Children are welcome until 7pm, after that, you must be 21 to enter. No reservations are accepted, it is first come first serve.

There are 25 draft beers, a full selection of spirits and food is served daily from 11am until 11 pm. The bar is open from 10am-4am Monday through Friday and 10am -5am on Saturdays. Brunch is served from open -3pm on Saturdays and Sundays only.
