Heart of Cape Town Museum commemorates the worlds first heart transplant, done at Groote Schuur Hospital by Professor Christiaan Barnard on December the 3rd 1967.
Visitors will be taken to the actual operating theatres where the operation took place and will be able to view the actual hearts from this operation. All tour are conducted by on-site tour guides - the tour will include a 25 min movie of Prof Barnard's life and his achievements.
