La Mouette Restaurant opened in 2010 and has become well known and established in not only the neighborhood of Seapoint, but Cape Town and the rest of South Africa as a modern and seasonally inspired restaurant that offers beautiful and flavorsome food. A loyal following of local and international guests frequent La Mouette on a regular basis as chef Henry changes his menus seasonally and remains inspired by local produce and his surroundings.
La Mouette is housed in an old Tudor home that dates back to the early 1900's and has inside and outside seating. The outdoor seating is very popular in the summer months and includes a cobblestone courtyard with fountain for a tranquil ambiance in buzzy Seapoint. Fairly lights and twinkling lanterns add to a lovely atmosphere. During the colder months of Cape Town - the restaurant moves indoors where La Mouette has 4 dining rooms and 6 fireplaces to cosy up to with a glass of red.
Our sommelier works very hard in sourcing boutique and special wines for our ever changing wine list and pairs these wines beautifully with our menu for your enjoyment.
La Mouette was nominated for the Top 10 In South Africa in 2014 and has gone on to win American Express Platinum awards for overall excellence in both 2015 and 2016. La Mouette has also won Certificates in excellence from Tripadvisor 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
