WILDLIFE SOS offers visitors the chance to meet and learn more about rescued elephants and sloth bears at the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre and the Agra Bear Rescue Facility.
In one of the greatest successes of Indian conservation, Wildlife SOS rescued and rehabilitated over 600 sloth bears from the centuries old brutal practise of dancing bears in India. The rescued bears are given a new safe home at four centres across the country, of which the Agra Bear Rescue Facility is the largest in the world!
Wildlife SOS also rescued elephants from conditions of abuse and neglect in captivity, and the Elephant Conservation and Care Centre provides a safe forever home to 20 amazing rescued elephants.
Just a forty minute drive from the world-famous Taj Mahal, a visit to the Agra Bear Rescue Facility and the Elephant Conservation & Care Centre give you a chance to experience the miraculous recovery of these rescued animals and learn more about the program and the species from the people that care for them.
Besides a visit program, Wildlife SOS also offers a chance to volunteer with the rescued bears and elephants, working hands-on at the rescue centres to help the staff look after the animals.
