The famous Teochew Cendul , a recipe brought down for 3 generations over a period of 75 years – a dessert consisting of thin green strips of rice dough – naturally flavoured and coloured from the juice of pandan leaves, sweetened with palm sugar, served with  shaved ice and thick coconut milk topped with stewed red beans – a refreshing treat on a hot day !
