TRACC - Tropical Research and Conservation Center - works with volunteers on turtle, shark and coral reef conservation projects. No experience necessary.
Come and Volunteer with us:
Get involved with coral gardening and reef building, fish surveys and community outreach, turtle patrols, nesting management and hatchling release. Divers and Snorkellers wanted. Any age, any experience level.
Come and Dive with us:
Improve your SCUBA skills, from total beginner all the way up to PADI Divemaster - and you get to help out with our conservation projects too! We offer as much diving as you like, equipment included - but bring your own mask, fins and snorkel.
Come and Learn with us:
TRACC teaches the full Cambridge Marine Science A-Level (CIE Exam 9693) once each year, in 14 weeks from January until the exams in May. This is an internationally recognised certificate and is ideal for dive professionals, gap year travelers and career changers. Our 2016 results were phenomenal, with 100% A*-Bs and 38% A*s!
Come and Research with us:
If you need a place to do your MSc or PhD project, come and do it in The Coral Triangle! On Pom Pom Island with TRACC, you'll benefit from local knowledge and contacts, plus many helping hands from our Conservation and Science Interns and Divers. And if you'd like to Intern with us, we have a limited number of Science Internship places available each year.
Accommodation is in tents (with power point and fan), or our new Longhouse, which has dorm rooms and private en-suites. You'll get 2 cooked meals a day, plus breakfast, which is "prepare your own." Our facilities are basic, we are about action, not luxury.
TRACC is a Not For Profit organisation, everything you spend with us goes back into efforts to conserve the marine environment.
