About Us
It was 2003; Viraj Panchal and Dilip Bhambhwani, both having been in Sri Lanka for some time now, were starved of authentic Indian Cuisine. It was when these two men were in India for a family trip that they met their longtime friend Sukhvinder Singh and together in a fit of pure passion these three men decided to open The Mango Tree. Within a few short exhilarating months (and after an excessive amount of tastings), The Mango Tree came alive. The name “The Mango Tree” is special as it was inspired by the mango tree at the restaurant premises. The Mango Tree was, is and always will be a dream come true and a much needed addition to the restaurant industry in Sri Lanka.
It was a few years into the creation of The Mango Tree that Viraj and Dilip were on a trip to Bangkok that the concept of Jack Tree came into play. They were enjoying genuine Thai Cuisine and immediately decided that their next venture would be to open their very own authentic Thai Cuisine and call it Jack Tree. This Restaurant situated at No. 200 Park Road, Colombo 5, has recruited its chefs all the way from Thailand. Recently, we have also added a selected Chinese menu in order to provide for our customers exquisite palettes.
Our Promise
The Mango Tree and Jack Tree are under one holding company called “The Bollywood Leisure Pvt Ltd”. Further, both restaurants have a combined outlet at Odel and Crescat which is situated in a prime area and is home to abundant shoppers. The outlets offer a special menu which consists of “On the go food”, still contains all the usual crowd favorites. Our Promise

The food served at The Mango Tree is of topnotch quality prepared using ingredients of exceptional caliber. Our menu consists of a wide variety of dishes; each uniquely different from the next yet all dishes offering a little taste of Incredible India. We also cater to any special requests our valued guests may have. We kindly request customers to inform their servers of any allergies they may have. The Mango Tree includes 2 special private dining rooms that together can accommodate up to 40 customers. We also have a separate section for larger events that can hold up to 90 guests.
