Once upon a time, the Polynesian god of peace and fertility explored all corners of the world in search of a woman to love. To make the journey from Heaven to Earth, Oro created a rainbow bridge connecting the two realms. As he walked along the rainbow, little bits of color fell from the sky. The enchanting moonlight kissed these fragmented color pieces before they dropped into the sea, transforming into Tahitian pearls that glistened in beautiful blue, green, pink, silver and gold hues…
And so begins the story of NAMAKA, a Tahitian pearl company whose namesake is the divine Polynesian goddess of the beguiling sea.
From conception to existence, everything about NAMAKA is a labor of love by the passionate duo, Jonathan Sayeb and Kristina Ganina. The hands-on approach to their business distinctly shows in the handmade, romantic, and elegant pieces that their customers adore. While Jonathan sources his pearls directly from Franck Tehaamatai’s famed Tahiti Pearl Market farms, Kristina works Tahitian pearls into unique and clever designs using simple, enduring, and natural materials that highlight this rare gem’s raw beauty. Their innovation in sourcing methods and the quality of NAMAKA jewelry are unrivaled in the Tahitian pearl marketplace.
