Accommodating a maximum of 20 guests, our hosts are able to provide the individual attention you require, while ensuring your stay is restful in our tranquil surrounds.
The Lodge offers a variety of accommodation, with all 10 rooms featuring magnificent lake views. A five star breakfast, lakeside open air spa/sauna, canoeing and fishing are all part of Koura Lodge's real New Zealand experience.

Spa Pool / Finnish Sauna
Koura Lodge is one of the few places in Rotorua where guests can enjoy unique riparian rights allowing for totally private relaxation and activity. Having unique lake edge riparian rights at Koura Lodge we were able to create Rotorua’s only fully-equipped place to relax by the lake.

Soak at the end of a day’s sightseeing and gaze at the city lights across Lake Rotorua, or take a fresh plunge off the jetty after a relaxing Finnish Sauna. Many guests' favourite is the outside high pressure hot shower.

Scenic Flights
There are not too many places in the world you can walk 50m from your room, climb into a float plane and in 5 minutes be flying through the craters of a dormant volcano. The scenic flight takes in 14 volcanic lakes and endless sub tropical forests set amongst some of New Zealand's most impressive landscape.

Fishing
Lake Rotorua is regarded as having the highest concentration of Rainbow Trout of any lake worldwide. And yet, what it is really known for in New Zealand is its ability to produce trophy Brown Trout. Whether you are seeking a trophy by fly rod or simply want to catch your first fish, we can arrange a guide to collect you from our private jetty.
