A bed and breakfast stopover 12kms from Arthur's Pass on SH 73. Surrounded by bush with amazing views across the upper Waimakariri River to the mountains of Arthur's Pass National Park, my home is "off-grid" and uses solar power and rainwater, with LPG for cooking and water heating, and a wood fire for heating. There is a waterless toilet, as an additional "quirk". I can provide evening meals and can cater for special food requirements. I work in Arthur's Pass at the DOC Visitor Centre and am an experienced tramper/hiker.
