The Windy Waves Bed and Breakfast Suite is located at Waitarere Beach upstairs in its own private wing of a modern, eco-friendly beach house with panoramic views to the sea and over the local beach community. The suite is spacious and the bathroom includes a spa bath and separate shower. A generous continental breakfast is delivered to your room.
We also offer a self-catering downstairs apartment with a full kitchen (washing machine included), dining/lounge, bathroom and large bedroom which sleeps up to 5 people. This includes access to a sheltered back garden. Breakfast baskets can be supplied if requested in advance for an extra $10 per person.
Waitarere Beach is a charming seaside town with a safe swimming beach. We are just a short walk away from the beach, forest, cafe, restaurant, and public tennis court. The nearby Matariki Forest is perfect for leisurely walks and mountain biking.
We are a ten minute drive away from the Manawatu River Estuary which is a world renowned conservation area and is a popular spot for those watching the migratory bird species like godwits, wrybills and spoonbills.
Being located 1 and half hours north of Wellington, we make an peaceful stopover for those travelling to or from the Cook Strait ferry or Wellington airport.
