Motutere Bay Holiday Park is the only park situated on the shores of the Lake Taupo on State Highway 1.
Whether traveling from the North or South the beauty of our little piece of paradise is that it's so easy to find midway between Taupo and Turangi.
We are Motutere Bay - our facilities cover the full length of the beach and spread either side of the State Highway 1 on 9.8 hectares (20 acres) of park like reserve.
From Taupo, drive 32 kilomteres down State Highway 1. Most of this route follows around the East side of Lake Taupo and is extremely scenic.
Heading North from Wellington, follow State Highway 1. Once through Turangi (located at the base of Lake Taupo), continue to head North. We are located about 15 minutes drive from Turangi - 19 kilometres on the Eastern Shores of the Lake.
One of very few places where you can camp right on the shores of lake taupo, we also have a range of accommodation to suit all budgets.
