Circa Theatre is one of New Zealand's seven professional theatres, situated on the waterfront of Wellington's magnificent harbour, next to Te Papa (the National Museum of New Zealand).

Circa Theatre started life in 1976 after a breakaway group of actors and theatre practitioners decided a new way of producing theatre was required for New Zealand.

Circa has two performance spaces that allow us to present an eclectic annual season of work, which includes a mix of popular and academic, comedy and drama, musicals and play readings, one-person shows and pantomime.
