Relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our absolute beachfront property in the seaside village of Paekakariki. The accommodation is upstairs, and consists of one twin room, one queen room, a private bathroom and toilet, and a guest lounge. Both bedrooms and guest lounge have expansive sea views. We host one party of up to five people at a time. Five minutes walk to the village shops, and the train and bus services. The trains run every half hour to and from Wellington City. It is 50 minutes by train, and 30 minutes by car to the ferry terminal,and 45 minutes to the airport. The village has a restaurant, a cafe and a deli, which sells woodfired pizzas, fruitshops, a village grocery store, the Station Museum, and the village store. You can also either walk south along the beach or along the clifftop to Fisherman's Table Restaurant which is also beachfront. Activities include walking tracks along the escarpment, and Queen Elizabeth Park, beach fishing, swimming, surfing, tennis and biking. Trips to Kapiti Island, a bird sanctuary can also be arranged with prior notice and weather permitting. Paekakariki Beach is directly accessible from our garden.
