Hokitika Craft Gallery

The Hokitika Craft Gallery is a unique space. A co-operative owned and operated by its fourteen maker-members, the gallery has been open to the public for over thirty years. Displaying a rich variety of both art and craftwork, the gallery provides an excellent opportunity to buy exciting works made locally.
We showcase the talent, skill and originality of some of the very best creative people on the West Coast.

The fourteen artists and craftspeople who own and run the co-operative live and work in the area, drawing inspiration from the dramatic environment and rich cultural history of these surroundings. Members work in a variety of media, including jade/pounamu, fibre, flax/ harakeke, silk, wood and ceramics as well as watercolour, paper and canvas.

The gallery is open every day and staffed by members.
Call in and meet the makers.
