Easier than snorkeling, more rewarding than scuba diving. Shallow water helmet diving provides all the benefits of 'real diving', with out the overload of equipment, training, lessons, rules, hand signals and navigation. The helmet works like a glass turned upside down in water, as the air is cupped underneath. Your head stays totally dry and you are walking, not swimming. Fresh top side air is continually pumped down your hose; exhaled air just bubbles out the bottom. Just walk, smile and breathe.
All Sea Trek and Sea Walkers are franchised copies of Hartley's Helmet Diving, started by Bronson Hartley in 1947. The Hartley philosophy is to make friends with the fish. This is done by diving on the same reef daily. We have 'celebrity fish' that know and trust us. They allow them selves to be touched and even pose for photos.
In peak season we have 9:30 and 1:30 trips daily. Walk on the sandy bottom only 8-10 feet down. The dive site is less than 2 miles from shore, but within the protective barrier of reefs around the island. This interactive eco-tour is not available through any ships shore excursions program. You deal directly with the owner/operators, Greg and Lynda Hartley. Tours depart on 40' dive vessel Rainbow Runner, from right next to the cruise ship docks, in Dockyard. The 2017 price is $99 per diver. Photos and videos available for minor extra fee. Visit web site!
Join us, to see the world differently, and be amazed. It is awesome fun.
