Borovets, known as Chamkoria until the mid 20th century, is the first mountain resort of its kind in Bulgaria and on the entire Balkan
range.
Today, Borovets is a modern four-seasons resort with an excellent network of ski slopes and lifts, cosy alpine hotels and numerous dining and entertainment outlets, at the backdrop of breath-taking nature.
Borovets is an alpine style-resort offering excellent opportunities for all types of winter sports – alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle, freeride, ski touring, cross country skiing and biathlon. A steady snow cover spreads over the slopes from December – April.
Borovets ski zone is divided into 3 ski centers with 22 ski slopes, 2 freestyle terrain parks and 8 slopes for night skiing.

Borovets is a favourite spot not just for ski and snowboard fans but also for nightlife enthusiasts. Nights in the resort pulse with myriads of shining lights and a variety of choice for entertainment and gastronomy – from the cosy restaurants offering delicious local cuisine to bars and
nightclubs.

In summer the resort offers various options for outdoor activities - hiking, climbing, mountaineering, mountain bike and different sports.
