Black Angel's Bar in Prague is designed in the style of 1930s restaurants, the so-called 'public houses', where people of all social strata met their friends after a hard day’s work to cheer the spirit with a good drink, which was then quite unaccountably banned.

Located on the second lower level of the hotel U Prince in Old Town Square, it was previously called the Black Angel. The premises with the original Gothic and Romanesque masonry, which creates an atmosphere of secretly 'getting together’, immerse you in the mood of black and white films, where the names of cocktails are not just void of meaning.

The project is the creation of the BA head barman Pavel 'Pavka' Šíma, who in 2009 commanded the reconstruction of the cellar to make it the company’s flagship; this was achieved in collaboration with the head bartender at London's Quo Vadis, Zdeněk Kaštánek, who backed the project as external consultant.

Black Angel´s Bar was placed in the top 50 bars of the world, according to the British national newspaper, The Sunday Times in 2012. In the Czech Republic, it was named the best hotel bar at the Czech Bar Awards in 2012 and 2013. Furthermore, according to the English magazine, The Spirits Business, it was chosen as one of the 6 World’s Best European Bars in 2013.

Its unrelenting success continued in July, 2013 when the Black Angel´s Bar was ranked among the TOP 10 hotel bars around the world in the annual global award ceremony, Tales of the Cocktail, in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the world’s most prestigious spirit award ceremony. In 2014, we are being considered for the same tribute, being among the TOP 4 hotel bars around the world, surpassing the top hotel bars globally.
