Karen Blixen museum is one of the best tourist attractions we have here in Kenya. The house is historical that goes way back to colonial time. when you visit this house which was lived by the famous author of the book out Africa, you will be surprised how nice it looks along with its beautiful gardens.
If you have read the book out of Africa or watched the movie out of Africa this place is a must see for any tourist who is around Nairobi. its a one day trip whereby when you arrive at the museum we offer you a guided tour for both inside and outside the house. our guides are knowledgeable despite you watching the movie or reading the book you still learn a lot from them while you are here.
we also have a gift shop whereby we sell all types of curios, Karen Blixen's books and the movie out of Africa. we also sell dormans' coffee since she was a coffee farmer. we also have exhibits of paintings from various artists of which we sell since she was an artist too and if you visit you shall see some of her paintings here in the house.
