Since 1990 the Comper castle hosts the Arthurian Centre and its exhibitions about King Arthur's legend. No classic castle tour here but an immersion in the world of imagination.
In legends, Comper is the bithplace of the fairy Viviane, who falls in love with Merlin. Out of love for her, the magician builds an extraordinary crystal palace in front of the castle, before hiding it under the waters of a large lake. Viviane then is called the Lady of the Lake.

The castle is open from March to November. During this period, you can discover our various exhibitions and animations. The Arthurian Centre also provides guided tours of the Broceliande forest, with a storyteller . Contact us or visit our website for more information.
