The Urban Betyár Restaurant & Visitor Center set the mission to become one of the highlights for locals and travellers in the Hungarian capital city by providing an extraordinary gastronomic and ethnographic experience that is one of a kind in Hungary.

Our renowned Betyár-Chefs, apart from preparing a wide variety of smoked products and grilling first quality steaks, bring back the famous tradition of campfire cooking in our open-view kitchen using delicate ingredients from both Hungary and other corners of the world.

The interactive ethnographic visitor centre intends to give a taste of the enormous world of the traditional Hungarian peasant culture. We believe that the task of ethnography in the 21st century is to challenge different viewpoints of the present, for the development of the future, while relying on the past. This is what the Urban Betyár Visitor Center promotes and shows what’s behind the scenes of the colourful Hungarian cultural heritage.
