Palazzo Manfredi

Palazzo Manfredi stands on the ruins of the ancient gladiatorial school, the famous Ludus Magnus, directly across from the Coliseum. The hotel began in the early 17th century as the villa of the Evagelisit family, designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Mola. In 1748, the villa was completely rebuilt becoming a hunting lodge of the noble Guidi family. In 2000, Count Goffredo Manfredi, one of Italy’s most famous entrepreneurs and construction magnates, refurbish the villa and the modern day Palazzo Manfredi was born.
Palazzo Manfredi, one of two luxury five-star boutique hotel properties in the Manfredi Fine Hotel Collection, offers breathtaking views from its location directly opposite the Coliseum. The hotel is conveniently located within short walking distance to Venezia Square (15 minutes) and the Spanish Steps (10 minutes).
Palazzo Manfredi represents the ideal, discrete retreat for VIPS and offers a unique romantic setting for wedding proposals and wedding ceremonies. The hotel’s Aroma restaurant received its first Michelin star in November 2014.
Aroma recently received its first Michelin star and offers a romantic setting with its open-air dining on a magnificent terrace overlooking the Coliseum. The restaurant also serves as a spectacular setting for wedding ceremonies and marriage proposals. Guests can choose from a set menu and the ring is delivered on a tray with a small silver cloche, plus roses and champagne, all while overlooking stunning views of the Coliseum.
Aroma features dishes with ancient Italian and Mediterranean flavors, including fresh seafood from the renowned Antica Pescheria Galluzzi, established in Rome in 1894; only Tuscan Chianina and Argentine Angus meats; homemade pasta; and six different kinds of homemade breads baked fresh daily.
