teatro7|Lab culinary school opened in 2005 in Milan, on via Thaon de Revel no. 7, and was launched as an innovative cooking school concept based on an ambitious project which quickly developed from work in progress to a truly convivial teaching environment. It's the first school of its kind in Italy and it has been receiving an excellent response.
The idea was to take a normal kitchen and turn it into a school - an absolute debut in the Italian and International market for a simple fact: while other schools use only professional equipment, in this new setting students use KitchenAid tools, just like they would at home. The kitchen has a linear structure with two 5-meter counters, one for cooking and one for preparing and tasting the dishes.
The classroom is designed to be clean and simple and is painted in soft colors to highlight the kitchen, the focal point of the entire school. The idea was also to have a place that could be used to invite 20 friends over to cook together with a chef guiding them.

teatro7|Lab, on via Thaon de Revel, with its simple and functional style calls to mind a sort of high-tech lab. A large glass window illuminates the kitchen, allowing for the "culinary performance" to be watched from outside, just like a street theater show.
