The Friends Pub is not an Italian pub, it's not an Irish pub and it's not even one of the many brewpubs born in the last years. The Friends Pub is an authentic English pub, since 2000, in Milan.

A pub so English that if we moved from the heart of Milan to the alleys of Soho no one would notice the difference (in Soho, Milan would break the uprising led by the thousands of friends who frequent the pub habitually!)

We are Antonio, Stefano, Silvio and Claudio: four brothers with their feet in Milan, but the heart in England.
It was the end of the 90s, and we felt the lack of a true English Pub.
Not a Bavarian brewery, not an Irish pub, not an Italian pub.
But a real English Public House, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere, where to have a good beer, perfectly taped, and enjoy a cuisine international in an informal environment and fuckin 'british!
We loved it in the lanes of London, we wanted to take it to Milan too.
And so, we decided to turn the idea into reality.
To our rules, though! It should not have looked like a real English pub, it had to BE.
We commissioned a company in Sheffield, Yorkshire, for the project.
We went straight to England and chose every detail: the curtains, the floor, the tables and the counter.
Among 6 projects, we chose him: our local. It took 2 months of preparation and planning and only 13 days after its arrival in Italy was made, it was March 23, 2000, The Friends was complete.
The true experience of the English pub in Milan, since then, is reality.

Since then and forever, our motto: "In this English pub there are only friends."
Here there are only friends. It means that when you cross the entrance door of The Friends, you become one of us.
And it is precisely to seal this motto that we have created the "Order of the Pint Knights".

Just as only King Arthur was able to extract the Sword form the Rock, so only the Knight himself can extract his custom mug from the rack.
