Popeye Village is the original Film Set which was built for the 1980's musical movie Popeye, staring the late Robin Williams as Popeye the Sailor man himself. The film-set, which is open all year round is located in the Northern part of the island of Malta, situated 1.5 kms away from the Mellieha Bay.
Popeye Village is considered as one of Malta's leading tourist attractions as visitors can spend a nice afternoon or a whole day roaming around the whole film set, participating in numerous Animation Shows, have a scenic ride in our free boat trip (weather permitting), visit our comic museum, enjoy Silver Filigree demonstrations, try our home-made punch and ultimately become a Movie Star by participating in our most enjoyed show - Take 2 Filming, were all our guests get to put on a costume and make their own movie in the ONLY film-set in Europe. Ultimately guests can watch their movie on screen in our cinema and take a copy of their own Blog Buster as a souvenir with them home.
In summer, guests can also enjoy a swim in the untouched Anchor Bay's turquoise water, enjoy themselves on the floating trampolines, lie on our floating platforms, sun bathe on our deck chairs and allow their kids to have a blast in our playpool.
The film set can also be used as a back drop for numerous events like lunches, corporate dinners, networking sessions, team buildings as well as weddings.
