A must for lunch, dinner or a snack in the afternoon, at Bairro do Avillez’s Taberna there is much more than simple bread and wine on the table. Here you can find the best Beef croquettes in Lisbon, a fantastic Tuna steak sandwich with vinegary vegetables in “bolo do caco” bread, delicious Suckling pig sandwiches with pickled seaweed and glasswort, and don’t be surprised if you come by some Spicy fried pork skin popcorn, a Horse mackerel tartar cone, or some other eye-popping dishes. Páteo
This isn’t a funfair, much less a museum. It is the most spectacular Páteo in Lisbon, where seafood and fish are kings, but the meats also rule.
