The EMAJ - Boutique Hotel was created after the acquisition and restoration of a historic architectural icon of Guimarães, the building of Banco Nacional Ultramarino – national bank, having been preserved interior and exterior details, in order to be transformed into Charming hotel, synonym for luxury, relax and comfort, in a town where you can breathe history and culture.
Our Hotel is located in Largo do Toural, the heart of the city and only a few meters from the historical center of Guimarães - World Heritage of UNESCO and the European Capital of Culture in 2012 - a place full of attractions to discover.
Due to the central location of EMAJ - Boutique Hotel you can easily visit the Castle of Guimarães, the scene of one of the greatest battles of Dom Afonso Henriques, first king of Portugal, and the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, two important places in Portuguese history and later you can enjoy the sunset at Largo da Oliveira.
