An intelligent, interactive and technically advanced entertainment, dedicated to the stories of Portugal and the world as told by the Media. That is how NewsMuseum, located in the Village of Sintra, defines itself. Through a highly interactive approach, using the latest technology, this project recalls episodes of the History of Portugal and the rest of the world through their journalistic coverage and projects the future of Media.
Visitors are invited to make their own TV and Radio broadcasts, to travel to 2046 with our Virtual Reality glasses, to become propagandists and put up a poster on our wall, to go to Baghdad in the night the Gulf War erupted and to open the lockers that hide news stories of the sports world, among many other memorable activities that make NewsMuseum an innovative project: more than just a visit, an experience that helps our visits connect with the Media system in unprecedented ways.
Visiting this equipment is diving in a Media Age Experience, in which the visitor is encouraged to touch, see, hear and interact with various contents. Every corner of this space has a story, adding up to over 16 hours of Media content divided in 25 thematic areas, which makes NewsMuseum the greatest interactive infotainment Europe.
