O Cafe da Praça is situated in the main square of the village of Constância - the Praça Alexandre Herculano, nr 12 A, a few meters from the Pilory.
O Café da Praça is known because of the conventual cakes , handmade by the Nuns Clarissas (Saint Claire of Assis) who live in-house in the monastery Nossa Senhora da Boa Esperança in Montalvo - a parrish from Constância Municipality.
You can taste them at the Café or ask to be sent to any country of European Comunity. It takes generraly 2 or 3 working days to reach the destination.
The café, where you can be understood in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and maybe in German, is closed on Tuesday, and it is opened the other day from 8:30 am to 19h00 pm
The Pilory dated around 1833 or 1836 and the buildings of the square testify the antiquity of the village.
