O Cafe da Praça is situated in the main square of the village of Constância - the Praça Alexandre Herculano, nr 12 A, a few meters from the Pilory.
O Café da Praça is known because of the conventual cakes , handmade by the Nuns Clarissas (Saint Claire of Assis) who live in-house in the monastery Nossa Senhora da Boa Esperança in Montalvo - a parrish from Constância Municipality.
You can taste them at the Café or ask to be sent to any country of European Comunity. It takes generraly 2 or 3 working days to reach the destination.
The café, where you can be understood in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and maybe in German, is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday , and it is opened the other day from 8:30 am to 19h00 pm
The Pilory dated around 1833 or 1836 and the buildings of the square testify the antiquity of the village.
