Time Machine
The “Time Machine” will lead visitors on a guided tour through six decisive periods that have marked the history of the Ljubljana Castle and the development of our city. At each of the “time stations”, visitors will be met by a figure who will present his or her period. The castle has changed through the centuries, as has its role, but there is no doubt that it has remained a symbol of the city. Discover the roles of the Castle Hill and the Ljubljana Castle throughout the castle’s rich history in a little over an hour in what is more than just a classic guided tour. The costumed representatives of each of the periods mentioned above will create a genuinely special atmosphere, which will be both instructive and entertaining. The castle “Time Machine” awaits you!

The Palatium, the hall in which the provincial governor once hosted formal receptions and banquets, the Estates Hall, where, in 2008, Queen Elizabeth II and Duke Philip of Edinburgh were entertained as lunch guests, and Frederick’s Tower, which once served the needs of the castle lady, are just three of the halls in the beautiful surroundings of the Ljubljana Castle that are available to you for organising a wedding reception, a birthday party, an anniversary or any other special event. In agreement with you, we can take over the organisation of the entire event, including the selection of catering and entertainment, and the layout of the space.

The Archers’ Tower catches the imagination of everyone who enters its embrace. The designers of this superb space above the city abandoned themselves to their creativity, took a great deal of time and expressed their artistic inspiration.
