Barcelona y Flamenco is the most renown Flamenco company in Barcelona. Its main objective is to spread Flamenco theatrical productions of high quality.

Since 2003 they have produced more than 2.000 flamenco shows in Barcelona, with the presence of more than 3 million spectators from all around the world.

Their main flamenco shows, succesful in critic and public, Opera y Flamenco and Gran Gala Flamenco continue its uninterrupted programming for more than 10 years in the Palau de la Musica Catalana (World Patrimony by UNESCO) and in the Teatre Poliorama in Las Ramblas.

Barcelona y Flamenco counts with two of the main flamenco artists nowadays, the artistic direction of Opera y Flamenco takes the name of the award-winning bailaor Rafael Amargo and Gran Gala Flamenco counts with the musical direction of the master of the flamenco guitar Juan Gomez “Chicuelo”.

Rafael Amargo is a flamenco dancer and choreographer in his most pure essence. Winner of 4 Max awards of scenic arts. APDE Award (Professors of Flamenco and Spanish Dance Association) along with Antonio Canales.

Juan Gomez “Chicuelo” is one of the most profilic guitarist and composer of the latest generations. He has accompanied Miguel Poveda, Diego El Cigala, Chino Dominguez and Duquende, among others. In 2013 he wins the Goya award for his song “No te puedo encontrar.”

Barcelona y Flamenco makes annual tours through different european countries and North America, along with private events, renown for his high artistic level. As a result of the high spectators satisfaction in every production in the latest years he has received the Excellency Certificate from TripAdvisor.
