Galway Atlantaquaria, Ireland’s largest native species aquarium at the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way. Located alongside the world famous Salthill promenade, and overlooking Galway Bay. A visit to the aquarium is a must see for the family, friends or ‘wanderlust’ adventurer.
Galway Atlantaquaria is designed to engage and inform. With over 70 species exhibits covering two floors including feeding times, and tours there is always something new to see. Featuring Native Irish sharks, Jellyfish, Conger eels, Clownfish and much more, it’s a great place to visit.
Tours are designed to be fun, educational and interactive. Our friendly staff can enable the opportunity for people to ‘hold’ a Starfish, touch a Spiny spidercrab, and feed the fish which young and older people love.
The Aquarium offers a wealth of science, engineering, beach safari workshops throughout the year all themed to connect people with the Sea. Workshops are suitable for children aged 5 and up!

Open seven days a week 10am until 5pm (10am until 6pm weekends).
