Taste Matters is a cozy little dining room situated at the west end of Loughrea town, just 30 minutes from Galway city. We are two friends, Jirka in the front of house and Michal in the kitchen. Together with our small team we serve top quality food in a casual setting.
Our food is a fusion of various cuisines and the cooking is traditional with a modern twist. Our inspiration comes from anywhere. As our name suggests, taste matters to us and our emphasis is on flavour.
We use the best and freshest local ingredients. Our meat comes from Loughrea and Athenry, the fish from Galway and our vegetables come from Loughrea and Galway. Mike prepares these great ingredients with skill and care. He is very passionate about his cooking and you can taste that in his food.
Jirka put together a compact list with a variety of natural, organic and biodynamic wines sourced from dedicated and knowledgeable suppliers. There are some lovely craft beers and ciders on offer as well.
