Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Dubai a place of worship for the Sikh congregation and is well-known for welcoming visitors and giving free food to all regardless of nationality, faith, caste or creed.

On 17th January 2012, the largest Gurudwara of the Gulf region was inaugurated for over 50,000 devotees in UAE. It is an architectural distinctive structure, pillar less hall and is termed as the most modern Gurudwara in the world, located in the 25,400 square feet plot in Jebel Ali, Dubai, along Sheikh Zayed road connecting Dubai to UAE, capital Abu Dhabi. It is at the same time a functional complex and an avenue for community events. It is a multi-storey shrine with a 100,000 square feet building area, has three basements, a ground floor, first floor, and intermediate terrace floor. Each basement is 250,000 square feet that can contain parking space for up to 140 cars. The 21,000 square feet ground floor houses the dining hall, kitchen, pantry and store room. The reception and office is also in the ground floor with wash room and shoe storage. As one roams the complex, one will be heartened and in awe. There is a 54 meter Parikarma covered with traditional grill work. The water body flowing around the road frontage is inspired by the Sarovar of the Golden Temple. It cast a surreal reflection of the building facade, with the cascade feature, lending the sound of flowing water. There are two main entrances to the complex, one from each access road. Each has wash rooms and shoe storage, also designed to cater special needs of senior citizens such as lifts and wheel chairs are provided. The grand staircase holds huge traffic of people, flattered by windows radiating natural light from stained glass that perfectly magnifies space.

The Prayer Hall has two doors and two Parshad (sweet) counters, in the lobby area. The 7.2 meter soaring ceiling is elegantly crowned by the astounding 18 meter diameter dome roof. The column free hall is surrounded in circular form by the classical arch windows. An aile runs diagonally across the hall to the Palki Sahib. One will be left in pure reverence and feel grandeur in experiencing the ambiance of the hall. The function room that overlooks prayer hall is of great utility. It guarantees to serve 900 people, also having a stage best fit for matrimonial ceremonies. The dining area asserts to accommodate 600 people and prepare 1800 rotis per hour and wash 1200 plates and glasses per hour. The total cost of the Gurudwara is approximately AED 65 million, contributed by the community in UAE and abroad. The total time taken to build and operate was 5 years.

Temple services offered are Akhand Path sahib, Sehaj Path, Sukhmani Sahib Path, Kirtan, Langar, Child Naming Ceremony, Child Amrit Ceremony, Engagement, Anand Karaj - Wedding Ceremony, Matrimonial Services, House Warming Prayer, Birthday or Anniversary Prayer, and Condolence or Memorial Prayer. It is open at 4.00 am all days and Darshan (Visit) is From 4.30 am to 8.30 pm. Administration office timings is 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. On 13th April 2017, The Sikh temple successfully hosted breakfast to 101 nationalities with an overall gathering of more than 600 participants and is the official and proud Guinness World Records title holder of ‘Most Nationalities Having a Continental Breakfast’
