Step out of time at Bellingrath Gardens and Home, where guests stroll through a vibrant, ever-changing 65-acre estate Garden and tour the historic Bellingrath Home, built in 1936 and filled with the original antiques and collections of founders Walter and Bessie Bellingrath. Take a self-guided walking tour through the Gardens, and take a guided, 30-minute tour of the Home.
Bellingrath Gardens and Home offers blooms and beauty every day of the year, and a variety of special events, from Winter Wednesdays in January and February to Magic Christmas in Lights in November and December. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s easy to make a day of it at Bellingrath! Lunch is served daily in the Magnolia Café, which has room for up to 80 guests, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. After visiting the Gardens and Home, you’ll also want to find the perfect souvenir in our well-stocked Gift Shop.
Bellingrath Gardens and Home received the 2015 and 2016 Certificates of Excellence from the travel website TripAdvisor.com. TripAdvisor gives the Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers.
The Southeast Tourism Society has named Bellingrath’s annual Fall Outdoor Cascading Chrysanthemums as a Top Twenty Event for Fall 2016.
Magic Christmas in Lights was selected by readers’ votes to USA Today’s “10 Best Public Light Displays in America” in December 2014. Bellingrath Gardens’ holiday attraction, now in its 21st year, placed sixth out of every light show in America.
The historic Bellingrath Home was completed in 1936 and features original furnishings owned by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath.
