Adventure tours include:
-Anan Bear & Wildlife Observatory: Anan Wildlife Observatory offers an intimate, world-class opportunity to view and
photograph bears at close proximity in their natural habitat. At Anan, you
experience the circle of life first-hand as brown & black bear, bald eagle and harbor
seal come to prey on the wild salmon run. Learn about Anan and the local
flora/fauna on your scenic walk through the rain forest, around Anan Lagoon, to
the Observatory deck. Our Alaskan guides are well versed in everything from
the rich history of Southeast Alaska, to the life cycle of salmon, and are eager to
share their knowledge with you.
-Stikine River: The Stikine River is the fastest, free flowing, navigable river in North
America, that has been carving its way through the Stikine LeConte Wilderness
Area for the last 10,000 years. Over 100 different glaciers flow into this
watershed. The headwaters lay over 300 miles from the coast, well into British
Columbia, Canada. Naturalist John Muir likened the glacier-laden Stikine River
Valley to a Yosemite National Park one-hundred miles long. Explore 70 miles of
the lower Stikine from the comfort of one of our covered, heated, jet boats as our
guides share their knowledge of the area with you. This vast wilderness is home to
large predators such as the brown & black bear, as well as moose, wolf and a variety
of small mammals and waterfowl.
-LeConte Glacier: LeConte Glacier resides in a 12-mile-long fjord at the head of
LeConte Bay, about 20 miles North West of the mouth of the Stikine River. This spectacular
glacier is North America's southern-most tidewater glacier and is part of a massive glacial system
that stretches 120 miles between the Stikine and Whiting rivers. Snow covered peaks rise out of
the fjord to heights of 4,000+ feet encompassing all that enter the bay. Various waterfalls weave
through the mountainsides thundering into the fjord below. Enjoy traveling through the vast
iceberg fields and spotting the Harbor Seals resting with pups on the ice that fill LeConte Bay.
-Guided Fresh Water Fishing: The pristine and secluded water around Wrangell, Alaska provides a world-class fishing experience. This tour is customizable for 2-4 fishermen, and includes complimentary beverages, rods, and custom Alaskan hand-tied flies. This tour is open to both fly & spin fishermen. This Alaskan adventure is exclusively catch-and-release, and we utilize barbless hooks in an attempt to preserve our natural resources.
