Travel to the Grand Canyon—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World—and let Grand Canyon West provide you with an experience like no other. See the Canyon from every perspective with our variety of vacation experiences. “Walk the sky” 4,000 feet above the Canyon floor on our Skywalk, or tour the West Rim on a helicopter ride. Take a whitewater rafting trip down the Colorado River, hike scenic trails, enjoy our rustic lodging, and learn about authentic Native American culture. All this and more awaits you at Grand Canyon West, which is just two hours from Las Vegas and close to Phoenix.

In the old days, the most thrilling view you could get of the Grand Canyon came standing at its edge. In 2007, that view got even better with the opening of the Skywalk at Eagle Point. This 10-foot-wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Canyon. Look down and you can see right through the glass platform 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below. Profiled by the National Geographic Channel, The Today Show, and CNN, this engineering marvel offers unparalleled views of the one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders.

Nervous about walking on glass almost a mile above the Grand Canyon? Have no fear; the Skywalk is strong enough to bear the weight of seventy 747 passenger jets.

With so much to see and do here at Grand Canyon West, you may want to stay overnight to experience it all. If you want to stay right on the West Rim, just steps away from the Canyon amid the howls of coyotes and the clearest night sky imaginable, reserve one of our rustic Hualapai Ranch cabins for your visit.

Each of these 26 cabins faces the rim of the Grand Canyon and has a front porch with chairs for admiring the view. The porch is ideal for watching each day’s sunrise and sunset as they bathe the canyon with warm yellows, golds, purples, and reds that dramatically contrast with the Canyon's deep, dancing shadows. In addition to lodging, Hualapai Ranch offers exciting recreational activities, a gift shop, and an on-site dining hall all within a few minutes’ walk.

Live life on the edge when you visit Guano Point. One of the most dramatic viewpoints in all the Grand Canyon, this location is anything but a quick stop. Take the “Highpoint Hike” for stunning, 360-degree views of the Grand Canyon and Colorado River. Be sure to watch where you step, because many areas do not have railings. Visit the remnants of a historic tram that once stretched 8,800 feet across the canyon to a guano mine. Dine right on the edge of the canyon at Guano Deli. And peruse Native American jewelry and crafts while interacting with Tribal Members at the Hualapai Market.

The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, each turn offering a unique view unlike the one before. Grand Canyon West's sightseeing tours gives you the opportunity to see the canyon from the sky, earth, and water all in one day. Walk on the Skywalk, drop into the canyon by helicopter, or board a pontoon boat for a Colorado River Excursion. Check out all our sightseeing and river tour options below.

HELICOPTER/PONTOON BOAT TOUR

By far one of our best offerings, this helicopter and pontoon boat tour offers you the best of both worlds. The first part of the tour lets you soar through the canyon before landing 4,000 feet below the rim on the banks of the Colorado River. From here, you’ll board a pontoon boat and enjoy a ride on the river between the canyon walls, complete with a fascinating history lesson from our River Guide. This tour is available from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

HISTORICAL RIVER TOUR

Experience an exhilarating helicopter flight through the Grand Canyon before landing 4,000 feet below the rim by the Colorado River. Here, you will board a river boat and enjoy a 1½-hour smooth float ride down the river. View the Skywalk from down below, the bat cave across from Guano Point, and the majestic canyon walls. This tour lasts for 2½ hours total and has two departures: 10:00 a.m. (arriving back around 12:30 p.m.) and 2:30 p.m. (arriving back around 5:00 p.m.). Children must be ages 3 or older to be on the Historical River Tour.

TIPS FOR YOUR BOAT TOUR

Bring appropriate clothing for the weather during your tour. Don't bring anything you don't want to get wet or drop in the water; anything dropped in the river will not be retrieved. These boat tours are smooth rides (no whitewater rapids), but there may be some water spray from the raft here and there. And lastly, have fun!
