Keepers of the Wild, a nonprofit sanctuary, is nestled on 175 acres located on Historic Route 66 in Valentine, AZ. Keepers of the Wild is a life-long home to more than 150 animals that include a grizzly bear, lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, primates, coyotes, wallabies, birds, hoofed animals and more. Visitors can walk trails to view animals living in their spacious natural habitats or opt for a guided safari tour, where they’re shuttled to various habitats learning the animals’ back-stories and watch the predators feed. Adults $20, Military & Seniors $15, $12 for ages 3-12, free for age 2 or younger; $10 additional for guided Safari tour. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesdays-Mondays; closed Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Located at 13441 E. Highway 66, Valentine at mile marker 87.
Our new gift shop features a wide variety of merchandise including apparel, gifts, stuffed animals, jewelry, home decor, food and drinks. Indulge at the snack bar with a variety of sandwiches, burritos, hot dogs and nachos. Other food items include pastries, muffins, candy bars, chips, specialty hot sauces and a large assortment of ice cream!
All admission fees and gift shop purchases go directly toward food, shelter, and the medical care expenses of the animals.
