Since 1987, Desert Adventures Red Jeep Tours has been providing one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experiences in the Greater Palm Springs area. Climb aboard one of our classic Red Jeep Scramblers for a naturalist guided tour to some of the most scenic and awe inspiring locations in the area.

Our signature San Andreas Fault Jeep Tours take you to our private and exclusive 800 acre Metate Ranch where you can explore a natural palm oasis with water bubbling out of the ground year round, tour a recreated Cahuilla Indian Village to learn about the lifestyle of our local Native Americans, and witness the bones of the earth as your jeep winds its way through the labyrinth of cuts and canyons along the San Andreas Fault Zone. Tours are offered every morning and afternoon and we even offer sunset and/or stargazing tours on select days.

Other tours are offered to the lush and lovely Palm Springs Indian Canyons near downtown Palm Springs where we delve into the history, culture, myths, and legends of the Cahuilla Indians as you enjoy an easy 1-mile nature walk along a beautiful creek bed in the shade of the palms.

Agriculture is the 2nd largest industry in the Greater Palm Springs area (after tourism), and you can learn more about our rich agricultural lands as you wind your way through farms growing grapes, dates, artichokes, and much more. As you leave the agricultural basin, you will enjoy a scenic view of the Salton Sea (a man-made mistake!) before heading off-road into majestic Painted Canyon where you can enjoy a guided hike or nature walk ranging in difficulty from an easy foray to the "Hike of Death".

In addition to our open-air jeep tours, we also offer a climate controlled van tour to nearby Joshua Tree National Park. On the way, you'll enjoy a valley tour, learn about the wind and solar farms that line the San Gorgonia pass, experience the transition between two deserts and two eco-systems, and enjoy the scenic wonder of Joshua Tree National Park. A picnic lunch is included and you can enjoy an easy nature walk through Hidden Valley and take in the vast views from Keyes View Overlook.
