Chalk Mercantile is a shop that reflects the owner’s love of antiques, handmade local goods and beautiful decor. Founded in 2009 by Jayne Whittles, Chalk Mercantile has become a go-to destination along the Connecticut shoreline. Chalk is also host to modern lines of perfumes, soaps, jewelry, and DIY supplies including Maison Blanche Vintage Furniture Paint and Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint. If that’s not enough, Chalk Mercantile is also a gathering spot for Connecticut’s most talented and creative antique merchants and artisans. Chalk’s cast of merchants allows for a constantly changing and dynamic inventory.

For you DIYers, we offer Maison Blanche paint workshops that cover painting, waxing and gold leafing. Classes are catered by our neighbor Fromage (in case you're on the fence).
